Word Analogy - Word and Intensity

Word and Intensity : When one word of the pair is of higher intensity than the other word of the pair, then it is called intensity relationship. Example:Anger : Rage. So, rage is of higher intensity than Anger. Some more examples are given below :

  • Wish : Desire
  • Touch : Push
  • Kindle : Burn  
  • Sink : Drown
  • Quarrel : War - ‘War’ is of higher intensity than ‘Quarrel’.
